UN Under Secretary Egeland in Dublin on 6 November

Jan Egeland, UN Emergency Relief Coordinator,
to visit Dublin - Monday 6 November
The United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Jan Egeland, will visit Dublin on Monday.
The Under-Secretary General will meet with the Minister of State for Irish Aid, Mr. Conor Lenihan, T.D., to review the progress of the UN's Central Emergency Response Fund. Ireland is a major contributor to the Fund.
Minister Lenihan and Mr. Egeland will also have an opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing international humanitarian situations, including the current situations in Darfur, Zimbabwe and Somalia.
Members of the press are invited to a press conference following their meeting.
