Minister of State Lenihan welcomes Ratification of National Partnership Agreement

Minister of State Conor Lenihan has welcomed the ratification by Congress of the new National Partnership Agreement Towards 2016.
“As the Minister responsible for Irish Aid I'm particularly happy that the new partnership agreement reaffirms the Government's absolute commitment to reach the 0.7% of GNP target by 2012.”
“This month the Government will publish its first ever white paper on Official Development Assistance (ODA). This document will be the road map for the expansion of the programme and will set down the guiding principles that will underpin Ireland's global leadership in development,” added Minister of State Lenihan.
