Statement by the Minister for Foreign Affairs on the death of Monsignor Denis Faul
21/06/2006
“I learned today with deep sadness of the death of Monsignor Denis Faul. He was a tireless and courageous advocate for peace and justice, and over many years was an outspoken campaigner for the protection and advancement of the human rights of all, and especially of the most vulnerable.
Fr. Faul has left a lasting legacy for all who continue the work to build a peaceful and stable future for Northern Ireland. He will be very sadly missed. My sincerest sympathy goes to his family, to Archbishop Brady and to his fellow priests.”
