Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Secretary of State of Northern Ireland announce their commitment to work together to address the development of the North West region
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dermot Ahern T.D., and the Secretary of State for
Generating economic developments and more jobs requires a strong infrastructure base including transport links, telecoms interconnectivity and energy. The two Governments will work together to address these challenges for the benefit of the entire North West.
Attracting inward investment and fostering the growth of the indigenous small business sector are important elements of economic growth. We are going to explore ways of doing this together for the maximum benefit of all the people of the region.
To take forward this work we are asking that the relevant sectoral Ministers, North and South , meet to explore areas and ways in which we can more closely co-operate to maximise the potential of the
