New Ambassadors present Credentials
Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Republic of Slovenia, the Kingdom of Cambodia and New Zealand presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today.
His Excellency, Mr. Franc Mikša, was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Amalija Jelen Mikša and by Mr. Leon Marc, First Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia.
His Excellency, Mr. Hor Nambora, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was accompanied by Mr. Cheth Naren, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
His Excellency, Mr. Jonathan Hunt, Ambassador of New Zealand was accompanied by Mr. Greg Andrews, Second Secretary at the Embassy of New Zealand.
The following were also present at the ceremony: Mr. Frank Fahy, T.D.,
Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform; Mr. Brian McCarthy, Secretary General to the President; Mr. Ronan Murphy, Assistant Secretary General, Department of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Gerry Kelly, Assistant Chief of Protocol; Ms. Cáit Moran, Assistant Chief of Protocol, Ms. Claire Reeves, Protocol Officer at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassadors were escorted to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2nd Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin under the command of Lieutenant Pat Holohan.
The Guard of Honour at Áras an Uachtaráin was provided by the 1st Infantry Battalion, Galway, under the command of Lieutenant Niall O'Donoghue.
The Army No. 1 Band was conducted by Commandant Mark Armstrong.
