Minister Cowen Condemns Bomb Attacks in Bombay


The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Brian Cowen T.D., strongly condemned the bomb attacks that took place earlier today in Bombay. Latest reports indicate that 50 people have been killed and more than 130 injured. The Minister expressed his sympathy with the victims and their families, and his hope for a speedy recovery to those who were injured. The Minister also conveyed his condolences to the Indian Government and said:

“The targeting of civilians by terrorists, and the loss of innocent life, cannot and will not be accepted by the international community. All must continue to work together to eliminate terrorism in all its forms.”
