Minister Cowen to visit Warsaw and Rome

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D. will make working visits to Poland and Italy from 19 to 21 February.
In the course of these visits, the Minister will meet with political leaders in both countries, including President Kwasniewski of Poland and the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Gianfranco Fini. Minister Cowen will also meet with the foreign ministers of both countries.
Minister Cowen's visits are part of an ongoing programme of visits by the Taoiseach and other members of the Government to current and future EU partners. These visits take place in the context of the enlargement of the EU, the ongoing discussions in the Convention on the Future of Europe and the preparations for Ireland's Presidency
