The European Social Forum's Anti-Globalisation Summit is to be held in Florence from 6th - 9th November. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to attend the event which will culminate in a large demonstration on Saturday 9th.
Travellers to Florence should exercise caution and be aware that there may be disruption to transport services and access to many public sites, as well as delays at Italian airports and border crossings.
