TRAVEL ADVICE UPDATE: THAILAND

Following the terrorist attacks in Bali on 12 October there are reports of a significant increase in the threat to Western tourists in Thailand.

The Department of Foreign Affairs advises Irish citizens to exercise extreme caution in public places in Thailand including popular tourist resorts, in particular the island of Phuket.

Visitors should be vigilant, particularly in places of entertainment such as nightclubs, bars and restaurants and in areas of worship where foreigners are known to congregate.Top
