Updated Travel Advice for India and Pakistan
The situation in India and Pakistan continues to give rise to serious concern. Tensions between the two countries remain high and the risk of conflict in the region has not diminished.
In view of this, the Department of Foreign Affairs advises against ALL travel to India and Pakistan for the time being.
Irish citizens resident in India or Pakistan are advised to consider leaving.
They are further encouraged to contact the Irish Embassy in New Delhi or the Irish Honorary Consul in Karachi, if they have not already done so, to notify their whereabouts and indicate their intentions.
