Europe: Cowen to Launch CD ROM for Schools

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., will launch a CD ROM guide to the European Union at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, 27 March 2001 in Iveagh House, 80 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2.
"Me, You and the EU" is a multimedia CD ROM intended to educate and inform young people about the European Union. Aimed at transition year students in second level schools, it presents the institutions, history, structure and policies of the Union to students through a mix of audio-visual and text resources. Students and teachers will find it a valuable and interesting teaching resource.
The disk has been commissioned and co-funded by the Communicating Europe Initiative and the European Commission's Office in Dublin.
