Statement by the Minister for Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., condemns the attacks in Armagh and Magilligan which could have resulted in serious injuries or in the loss of human life. These are attacks on democracy. The perpetrators show a callous disregard for the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the people of this island who have firmly endorsed the Good Friday Agreement. They must be pursued with the full rigour of the law until they are brought to justice.
