Northern Ireland Meeting

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., will meet the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, the Rt. Hon. Peter Mandelson M.P., in Iveagh House, Department of Foreign Affairs, Dublin, at 7:00 pm this evening (Wednesday, 31 May 2000).
The Minister and the Secretary of State will review the current situation in Northern Ireland following the restoration this week of the institutions established under the Good Friday Agreement. The meeting will be followed by dinner in Iveagh House.
There will be a brief media opportunity on arrival only.
