Ireland to Join Partnership for Peace

Following approval by Dáil Éireann of Ireland's participation in Partnership for Peace, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. David Andrews T.D., will sign the Partnership for Peace Framework Document on behalf of Ireland on Wednesday, 1 December 1999.
The Minister will avail of the occasion to re-affirm Ireland's commitment to UN peacekeeping and the Petersberg tasks, which are humanitarian, rescue, peacekeeping and crisis management tasks, as set out in Ireland's Presentation Document.
