New Ambassadors present credentials

His Excellency, the Ambassador of Andorra to Ireland, Mr Manuel Mas
His Excellency, the Ambassador of Tunisia to Ireland, Mr Khémais Jhinaoui
presented their Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today.
The Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation,
Mr Chris Flood, T.D., was present at the ceremony.
The Romanian Ambassador was accompanied by Mr George Maior, First Secretary, Romanian Embassy, Dublin.
The Andorran Ambassador was accompanied by his wife Ms Anna Santuré and Ms Meritxell Gallo, First Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Andorra.
The Tunisian Ambassador was unaccompanied.
Also present were Mr. Brian McCarthy, Secretary to the President; Mr. Frank Cogan, Assistant Secretary General, Mr Joseph Brennan, Deputy Chief of Protocol Ms Síle Maguire, Assistant Chief of Protocol and Mr Gerald Angley, Protocol Officer at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassadors were escorted to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2nd Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Lieutenant Deirdre O'Rourke
A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by the Second Field Artillery Regiment, McKee Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Lieutenant Karl Boyle.
The Army Number One Band was conducted by Commandant Joseph Ryan.Top
