O'DONNELL ANNOUNCES £150,000 GRANT FOR CENTRAL AMERICA

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Liz O'Donnell TD, has annnounced grant-aid of £150,000 to three countries in central America to assist them in their efforts to combat the effects of natural disasters.
The funding is being provided to local communities in Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala to help improve emergency preparedness in disaster-prone areas.
"This funding is particularly timely in light of the heavy rains that have hit central America over the past two weeks and which have forced thousands of people to flee their homes," Minister O'Donnell said.
