Visit to Ireland by the Mexican Foreign Minister and the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Mexico
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr David Andrews, T.D., and the Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ms Liz O'Donnell, T.D., will have separate meetings with the Mexican Foreign Minister, Mrs. Rosario Green and the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Carmen Moreno on Monday 1 March. Following the meetings there will be a Press Conference at 12.40 pm at Iveagh House. You are invited to send a representative.
This visit is part of a series being undertaken by the Mexican Foreign Minister and her Deputy to EU States. It is expected that the meetings will be concerned with Irish Mexican relations (including trade), Human Rights, UN reform and the transatlantic agenda as it affects Mexico.
The Mexican Foreign Minister will also call on the President and the Taoiseach. Meetings have also been planned with the Provost of Trinity College, Amnesty International and Trocaire.
