Andrews condemns Armagh bombing
29/12/1998
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. David Andrews T.D., has strongly condemned the sectarian blast bomb attack in Armagh.
"It is very sad, at a time when the Christian family is celebrating the season of goodwill to all, that extreme bigotry has motivated this heinous act against the O'Connor family. Those who
persist in promoting division are clearly defying the overwhelming majority who have democratically expressed their will and wish for reconciliation," the Minister said.
Minister Andrews continued, "In condemning this attack, I wish to extend my sympathy and concern to the O'Connor family. I hope that who perpetrate attacks such as this will realise the futility of their actions and respect the will of the majority."
