AMBASSADORIAL APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr David Andrews, T.D., has announced the following diplomatic appointments:
Mr John Campbell to be Ambassador to Portugal.
Mr Noel Fahey to be Ambassador to Germany.
Mr Pádraig Murphy to be Ambassador to Spain
Mr Gearóid Ó Broin to be Ambassador to Finland.
Mr Eamon Ó Tuathail to be Ambassador to the Holy See.
Mr Joe Lynch to be Ambassador to Nigeria.
Mr Peter Gunning to be Ambassador to Egypt.
Mr Hugh Swift to be Ambassador to South Africa.
Mr Richard Ryan to be Permanent Representative to the United Nations, New York.
Mr James Brennan to be Deputy Permanent Representative to the European Union.

New Consulates General are to be opened in Cardiff and Edinburgh next month. Mr Conor O'Riordan is to become Consul-General in Cardiff and Mr Dan Mulhall is to be Consul-General in Edinburgh.
