Minister Ahern Meets with Loughinsland Relatives

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Dermot Ahern T.D., today met with the relatives of those killed at Loughinisland Co. Down in June 1994.   The Minister heard the relatives’ concerns about the handling of the police investigation.   The relatives also spoke about the work being carried out by the Police Ombudsman on this case. 

The Minister undertook to raise their concerns with the British Government at an early opportunity.   The Minister said: 

“The families of those so callously murdered at Loughinisland deserve justice and the truth.   I fully support their efforts”.
