Minister welcomes announcement on Iran's release of British naval personnel

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dermot Ahern, T.D., has warmly welcomed the announcement by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this afternoon that the 15 detained British naval personnel are to be released.
The Minister stated:
“The announcement by President Ahmadinejad this afternoon is an extremely positive development. We have strongly supported the British Government in its intensive efforts to reach a diplomatic solution with Iran. I warmly welcome the release of the fifteen British personnel”. Top
