Olltoghchán 2007 General Election 2007

Candidates in the 2007 General Election may wish to take note of the practice of the Department of Foreign Affairs regarding the transmission of election literature to diplomatic personnel serving at Irish diplomatic Missions abroad who are registered postal voters.

Only election literature that is addressed to named officials serving at Irish diplomatic Missions abroad (and their accompanying spouses) who are registered to vote will be transmitted by the Department in its diplomatic mail. Election literature of a generic nature, which is not addressed to named individuals, will not be forwarded by the Department.

Election literature for named registered voters can be sent, in separate individually addressed envelopes, to:  The Registry, Department of Foreign Affairs, 79-80 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2. This will then be forwarded by the Department to the appropriate Mission abroad.

Is mian leis an Roinn Gnóthaí Eachtracha iarrthóirí in Olltoghchán 2007 a chur ar a  n-aire i leith cleachtas na Roinne maidir le leabhráin eolais nó litríocht toghcháin a sheoladh chuig oifigigh taidhleoireachta atá lonnaithe thar lear in oifig taidhleoireachta na hÉireann, agus atá cláraithe mar vótálaithe poist.

Ní sheolfar trí phost taidhleoireachta na Roinne ach amháin litríocht toghcháin atá dírithe ar oifigigh ainmnithe atá ag obair in oifig taidhleoireachta thar lear agus atá cláraithe le haghaidh vótála (agus a gcéilí atá á dtionlacan). Ní sheolfar litríocht toghcháin ghinearálta, nach bhfuil dírithe ar dhuine ainmnithe ar leith.

Is féidir litríocht toghcháin do vótálaithe atá cláraithe agus ainmithe (i gclúdaigh ar leith do gach duine) a chur chuig: An Clárlann, An Roinn Gnóthaí Eachtracha, 79-80 Faiche Stiabhna, Baile Átha Cliath 2. Ansin seolfaidh an Roinn na hábháir seo chuig na hoifigí taidhleoireachta i gceist.
