Minister Dermot Ahern Condemns Shooting of PSNI Officer
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Dermot Ahern T.D., has condemned the shooting this morning of a PSNI officer in Derry.
Minister Ahern said, “I completely condemn this cowardly attack. I would also like to extend my best wishes for a full recovery to the officer concerned. My thoughts are with him and his family.”
“This attack, outside a school on a busy morning, shows a particularly vicious disregard for the lives of children and their parents. The perpetrators represent no-one. They have no agenda except destruction and a return to conflict.
Anyone with information on this crime should cooperate fully with the police.”
