Minister Ahern condemns shooting of PSNI officer in Dungannon
12/11/2007
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Dermot Ahern T.D., has condemned the shooting of a PSNI officer in Dungannon this evening.
Minister Ahern said “I condemn the shooting in the strongest possible terms, and I look forward to the injured officer making a speedy and complete recovery.
This is the second shooting of a PSNI officer in recent days. The perpetrators of these crimes do not represent the community. They seek only to perpetuate the violence and divisions of the past. Their actions cannot be justified.
I urge anyone with information to contact the police.”
