New Ambassadors present Credentials, Tuesday 20 November 2007
Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Sudan and of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today.
His Excellency Mr. Fakhraddin Gurbanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Saida Samadova and daughter Miss Laman Gurbanova and Mr. Orkhan Sultanov, First Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
His Excellency Mr. Omer Mohamed Ahmed Siddig, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan, was accompanied by Dr. Hassan Ali Hassan Ali, Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Sudan.
Her Excellency Dr. Ali Hatough-Bouran, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, was accompanied by her husband, Mr. Ishaq Bouran.

President; Mr. Dan Mulhall, Assistant Secretary, Department of
Foreign Affairs;
Ms. Kathleen White, Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign
Affairs, Mr. Joe Brennan, Deputy Chief of Protocol and Mr. Thomas
Bolster, Deputy Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign
Affairs.
The Ambassadors were escorted to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2nd Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of 2nd Lieutenant James Sharkey.
The Guard of Honour at Áras an Uachtaráin was provided by the 27th Infantry Battalion, Aiken Barracks, Dundalk, under the command of Lieutenant Oisin Murray.
The Army No. 1 Band was conducted by Lieutenant Fergal Carroll.
