Minister for Foreign Affairs, Micheál Martin T.D., asks for media privacy for the families of missing Irish doctors
"People throughout Ireland and beyond are thinking of the families of the missing Irish passengers on Air France flight AF447 at this very difficult time. It is essential that the grieving families be given time and space to come to terms with this terrible tragedy. I would respectfully ask members of the media to please allow the families and friends of the missing passengers privacy at this very difficult time.
My Department continues to be in constant close contact with the
three families and our Embassies in Paris and Brasilia remain in
close contact with the relevant authorities. We will as a matter of
course inform the media of any significant developments.
