2004 NGO Forum

The 6^th NGO Forum took place on 4 December 2004 in the Conference Centre in Croke Park.   The main theme of the Forum was Women and Human Rights.  The Forum was opened by Minister of State Conor Lenihan, T.D. and the keynote address was delivered by Ms Irene Khan, Secretary General of Amnesty International.  Other speakers included Prof. Ayse Feride Acar, Chairperson of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and Ms Carolyn Hannan, Director of the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women.Top
