1998 NGO Forum

The Inaugural Forum took place on 7 March 1998 in Royal Hospital Kilmainham. The main themes of the Forum were Refugees and Asylum Seekers, Women’s Human Rights, Universality, Rights of the Child, Human Rights and Democratisation and the role of NGOs. The Forum was opened by Minister of State Liz O’Donnell, T.D. and the keynote address was delivered by the then UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson.Top
