Fees for Foreign Births Registration
Please note that the fees charged for some diplomatic and consular services will increase on Friday 1 March 2013.
If you are living in Ireland, the relevant fees for Foreign Births Registration from Friday 1 March 2013 are as follows:
| Over 18 years of age: | Registration | €250.00 |
| Foreign Births Registration Certificate | €20.00 | |
| Under 18 years of age: | Registration | €125.00 |
| Foreign Births Registration Certificate | €20.00 |
Payment can be made by Cash, Bank Draft (made payable to the 'Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade'), Irish Postal Order or by Credit/Debit card.
It should be noted that all bank drafts must be drawn on an Irish bank or a bank showing a connection with a bank in Ireland. Personal cheques are no longer accepted.
